What stays on your device

The answers you give the tools and the check are saved only in your browser's local storage so the tools can share them. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Clear them any time with “Clear my answers” or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

When you choose a provider

Only if you tick a provider on the “See who can help” screen and submit your contact details, those details and the answers shown on that screen go to the providers you ticked, together with a record of the permission you gave each one. Nobody else receives them.

Analytics

We count page views and tool use without names, emails or phone numbers.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use our pages: where they click, how far they scroll, and short replays of a visit. The tools, the check and the request form are hidden from these replays, so the answers you enter there are not recorded. Clarity sets its own cookies, and Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Your browser's tracking protection can block it without breaking anything on this site.
